Responsibilities
- Full Scope OB-GYN Practice
- • High risk OB and complex GYN cases
- • Certified Nurse Mid-Wives- 19 on staff do most deliveries, with consult from OB-GYN.
- • Call Schedule
- • On average work 2 L&D Shifts a week
- • 3 clinic days 0r a combination of Clinic, Consult and Surgery shifts.
- Labor & Delivery
- • 150 bed hospital
- • 16 Mother baby unit
- • 8 Delivery rooms
- • 2 C-section Room
- Rural Medicine
- • Consult in rural villages a couple times a year.
- • NP/PA in larger villages
- • Health Aides in rest of villages
- • A person for the village that has been trained and works off a triage book.
- • Tertiary Care Center- OB-GYN s make decisions about transporting patients out of rural AK.
