Description
Salem Health Hospitals & Clinics is seeking a full-scope OB/GYN Medical Director to join our award winning, high-volume practice in a full-time (1.0 FTE) capacity with .8 Clinical and 2. Admin FTE allocation. The typical schedule will include 2 total clinic days (1 full day, and 2 half-days) filling in the remaining half days with administrative time and a day off!
Our OBGYNs collaborate and are supported by our comprehensive Women & Children’s Health Division including the OB Hospitalist team as well as on-campus clinics for GYN/ONC, OB/GYN, Midwifery, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine. The Director would oversee these service line stakeholders through problem solving, addressing patient safety concerns, serve as a resource for daily operations, schedule management and overall business strategy.
Salem Health’s OBGYNs enjoy a four (4) day workweek that includes three (3) clinic days, one (1) dedicated OR day, and one (1) on-call shift. They have a 1:5 call rotation (includes weekends & Fridays, subject to change). The average monthly volume per provider is 185 appointments, 12 deliveries and 10 surgeries.
Our established team of experienced OB/GYNs offer all aspects of obstetrics and gynecologic care, including contraception management, pregnancy and prenatal care, childbirth, surgery, and treatment of diseases and disorders of the reproductive system. Our state-of-the-art Family Birth Center offers a 19-bed Labor & Delivery Unit and includes 12 labor and seven (7) antepartum beds, with two (2) operating rooms and a 27-bed level IIIA Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Experience Requirements
6 years
- • 6 years of experience as a board certified OBGYN Physician required • Three (3) years of experience in a Leadership role highly recommended
Qualifications
- • Hold a degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
- • Currently hold, or are able to obtain, a current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Oregon.
- • Hold a current unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
- • Hold Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology through the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology or the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
- • Robotics training preferred
- • Demonstrate experience and current competency, to include the performance of at least 30 gynecologic diagnostic/ therapeutic inpatient/outpatient hospital procedures in the past 24 months
- • Performance of at least 50 deliveries in the past 24 months
